Our Favourite Club in Bangkok: We Have All of Baccarat on Thursday
What This Is
House music from the first record to the last. That is the whole idea.
On Thursday July 30, Deep House Thailand takes the entire club at Baccarat on Sukhumvit 24 — every room, every hour, from 10PM until 4AM. Not a guest slot inside somebody else's night. The whole thing is ours, and we programme all six hours of it.
Three of us are playing: BYAS, Joe Cola and AY. What comes out of the speakers is afro house, deep house and melodic house, with tech house and indie dance when the room asks for them. No genre switch halfway through the night, no commercial hour to keep a promoter happy.
Baccarat is loud, the crowd dresses up, and on a night like this it fills. If you are reading this and wondering whether it is your kind of thing: if you like house music, yes. Just get there early.
The Basics
- 📅Thursday July 30, 2026 — the club opens at 9PM, we start at 10
- 🕙10PM till 4AM — six hours, the whole club is ours
- 📍Baccarat Bangkok — 88 Soi Sukhumvit 24, inside The Davis hotel, five minutes on foot from BTS Phrom Phong
- 🎟️Entry is paid at the door, same as any night at Baccarat. This is not a free party.
- 🎧BYAS, Joe Cola, AY — all three of us, all night
- 🎶Afro house, deep house, melodic house, plus tech house and indie dance
- 👕Smart casual. Sneakers fine, no shorts, no flip-flops. People dress up here.
- ⏰Come early. It is going to be a full house.
Why This Room
We will say the quiet part out loud: Baccarat is our favourite club in Bangkok. Here is exactly why.
- 🔊The Void rig. Void is the brand of speaker that serious house clubs buy, and Baccarat's is a four-million-baht system that was fitted for this music rather than squeezed in afterwards. In plain terms: the kick drum hits you in the chest, the bass stays out of the way of the melody, and at 3AM it still sounds clean instead of turning to mush. That is rarer in Bangkok than it should be.
- 📢It is loud, and that is the point. Baccarat is not a place to catch up with an old friend. You go there to be inside the music, not next to it. If you want to talk, the hotel lobby is right there.
- 💃The crowd is beautiful. People make an effort for this room — Bangkok locals, expats, and whoever heard about it that week. Everyone in there on Thursday came for the same thing: this music, on this night, with Deep House Thailand. That shared reason is what makes a floor feel electric instead of just busy.
- 🪩The room itself. Red neon running along a wood ceiling, red velvet, pop art, a fireplace, one disco ball throwing light across the floor. It looks like a New York basement that got a Bangkok upgrade, and it photographs beautifully at 1AM.
- 🚕It is easy. Five minutes from BTS Phrom Phong, every taxi and Grab driver knows The Davis hotel, and at 4AM you are ten minutes from home instead of stuck on Ratchada. More about the room →
The Year That Got Us Here
- 🏙️We took over the APT 101 penthouse on Sukhumvit 17 — 300 people in a room built for a private party, and it did not thin out until closing.
- ☕We ran a coffee rave at Curvistan, house music at 4 in the afternoon between parked Porsches, everybody sober and nobody sitting down.
- 🏊We spent the summer on the rooftop pool party series with the city stretched out underneath.
- ❤️All of it good. And still, the club we keep coming back to is Baccarat — so this time we took all of it.
What Six Hours Changes
- ⏳Normally a DJ gets two hours inside someone else's night — so you play the loud stuff early and hope it lands.
- 🌊With six hours we can take our time. Warm at the start, deep through the middle, the big moments after 2AM, then back down at the end.
- 💫That slow build is the whole point of a Deep House Thailand night.
The Music
- 🥁Afro house — big drums and chanted vocals, borrowed from South Africa and Nigeria. This is the sound that makes a whole room shout at once. Expect a lot of it.
- 🌙Deep house — warm, rolling, unhurried. It is the floor everything else is built on, and it is the reason the brand is called what it is called.
- 🌅Melodic house — the emotional one. Long builds, big chords, the bit where the room puts its hands up without being asked.
- ⚡Tech house — tighter, faster, a bit harder. Saved for late, when the floor wants pushing.
- 🎸Indie dance — guitars and real vocals over a house beat. The records people sing back at you.
What you will not hear: a commercial hour, requests, or a genre switch to keep somebody happy. Six hours, one direction. New to all this? Start with our Bangkok deep house guide.
Who Is Playing
- 🎛️BYAS — the longest stretch of the night, and the one who built this whole thing. Belgium to Bangkok, ten years behind the decks, deep and afro house.
- 🎛️Joe Cola — a regular fixture at our parties this year, on the groovier and more tech-leaning end.
- 🎛️AY — held down the APT 101 penthouse takeover with us in July. Melodic, patient, good at the hour before peak.
Three DJs, six hours, one direction. Set times go up on Instagram the week of the party.
Yes, It Is a Thursday — That Is the Best Part
- 🔥Thursday is the new Saturday in Bangkok. It stopped being a warm-up night a long time ago. The good rooms are full and the people in them chose to be out.
- 🚦Friday and Saturday are a traffic jam of parties — five things on at once, half the room passing through on the way somewhere else.
- 👥Thursday, everybody in the room picked this one. Same music, same reason. That is why these nights hit harder.
- ⏰It is going to be a full house, so be early. Doors at 9PM, music from 10. The first hour is the best-kept secret of the night — room to move, and the deeper records get played before the floor is shoulder to shoulder.
