BYAS Takes Over the Whole of Baccarat Bangkok

Deep House Thailand takes over all of Baccarat Bangkok on Thursday July 30, 2026 — six straight hours, one club, one sound.

This is the first time the collective has had the full run of Baccarat. There is history in the room already: DHT ran the lobby room here for the Songkran takeover in April 2025, sharing the venue with the rest of the building's programming. This time there is nothing to share. Doors at 10PM, close at 4AM, and everything in between belongs to one crew.

The date is a Thursday, which is deliberate. Bangkok's Friday and Saturday nights are crowded with competing parties; a Thursday gives the room the kind of crowd that comes for the music rather than the schedule.

To anyone who has not stood behind the decks, a takeover sounds like a marketing word. It is not. It changes the actual music.

In a normal booking, a DJ gets roughly two hours somewhere in the middle of someone else's night. You inherit a room at whatever temperature the last DJ left it, and you hand it over at whatever temperature the next one needs. You play to the slot. There is no room to be patient.

With the whole night, the shape changes completely. The first hour can stay slow and warm while people arrive and find each other, because nothing has to peak early. The middle can go deep and melodic and stay there long enough to actually take hold. The afro house peak can land after 2AM, when the room has earned it. And the last stretch can drift back down for the people who stay to the end.

That arc — slow build, long middle, late peak, soft landing — is what the Deep House Thailand nights are built around, and it is the part that gets cut first when the night is chopped into slots.

Baccarat sits at 88 Soi Sukhumvit 24, inside The Davis Bangkok Hotel, a short walk from BTS Phrom Phong or Asok. The look is New York-leaning — red neon along the ceiling, velvet sofas, a fireplace, pop art in green and yellow — and the sound system is a four-million-baht rig that was tuned around house music rather than retrofitted for it.

That matters for this kind of programming. Afro and melodic house live in the low-mid range: the percussion has to stay warm and separated rather than turning into mush, and the sub has to sit under the groove without swallowing it. The night stays inside the DHT palette — the sound that fills the rooftop sessions and the summer pool parties, moved indoors where a club rig can give it more weight.

The list closes when the room is full, so earlier is safer. Doors are at 10PM; the floor properly fills after midnight, so aim to arrive before 11:30PM if you want space to move.
