DHT Takeover at Baccarat Bangkok

One DJ crew. One club. Six hours. On July 30 the whole of Baccarat belonged to Deep House Thailand.

Most Bangkok club nights are a slot — a DJ gets two hours on a floor that someone else programmed. This one was different. Deep House Thailand had the full venue from doors at 10PM until close at 4AM, so the entire arc of the night was built as one piece: the slow, warm opening while the floor filled, the deep and melodic middle, the afro house peak after 2AM, and the long tail for the people who never wanted it to end.

Baccarat is one of the better venues in the city for this. It sits inside The Davis Bangkok Hotel on Sukhumvit 24 — red neon ceiling lines, velvet sofas, a fireplace, pop art on the walls, and a four-million-baht sound system that was tuned specifically for house music. It is a space that rewards a proper build.

The night ran inside the Deep House Thailand palette — the same sound that fills the rooftop sessions and the pool parties, moved indoors and given the extra weight a club rig allows.

What time did people turn up?

Doors were 10PM. The floor properly filled after midnight, so before 11:30PM was the sweet spot for space and an easy walk to the bar.

Did you need a table?

No. Guest list got you in for free. Tables were optional and booked directly with the venue.

Is this a hip-hop night?

No. Baccarat runs a dedicated hip-hop night on Tuesdays; this Thursday was house all the way through — afro, melodic and deep. The venue profile breaks down the weekly programming.
