The List
This is our baby. The rooftop pool at Centara Grand - the hotel tower above CentralWorld mall, dead center of Bangkok - has been packed plenty of times for techno and EDM nights. It has never had a proper deep house pool party. On July 18, that changes.
The lineup is the Deep House Thailand family: BYAS, Cameron Glasgow, Dennis Gold and Wiwa. The music runs deep house, afro house and melodic house from 3 in the afternoon until 10 at night - you swim through the hot hours, the sun sets over the skyline, and the last few hours happen under the city lights. It's a series, not a one-off: August 29 and September 19 are already locked with Bangkok Rooftops.
Fair warning: a pool deck only holds so many people. Pastel Bangkok already put this series in their list of the city's best pool parties, and tickets are advance-only.
The famous one. Once a month, SO/ Bangkok opens its infinity pool overlooking Lumpini Park and a small army shows up. Two zones: EDM by the pool, hip-hop and R&B across the deck. Eight hours long. It's big, loud and fun - just don't come expecting underground music, and book ahead on holiday editions because they sell out.
The one closest to our sound that we don't throw ourselves. The DJs lean melodic techno, afro house and deep house, and the crowd is a little older and actually listening. If you miss a Deep House Thailand date, go here and you'll still have a good Saturday.
Small, easy, friendly. Rotating DJs, mixed international crowd, zero pressure. A good first pool party if the big productions feel like too much.
No fixed monthly slot, but when the W books a date, the production is slick and the guest DJs are solid. Check their calendar when you're in town.

When to Come
November to February is perfect - warm water, cool air, no rain stress. March to May is brutally hot, which is exactly when a pool party makes the most sense. June to October is rainy season, but Bangkok rain mostly passes within the hour and hosts plan around it - check the party's Instagram on the day, not the forecast three days out.
Songkran (mid-April) is the wildest week of the year for anything involving water. Pool decks across the city run special editions and they sell out first. Plan that one early.

How much does a pool party in Bangkok cost?
