We wanted the other thing. A rooftop pool, the sun going down, and deep house that lets you actually talk to the person next to you. Nobody was throwing that, so we built it ourselves.
Why "Pool Party" Here Usually Means EDM
Here is the honest version, because we go to these too.
Bangkok's big hotel pool parties are built for volume. The safest way to fill a rooftop with a mixed crowd of tourists and locals is to play the songs everyone already knows - commercial EDM, chart hip-hop, open-format. It works. Those parties are packed, and they are a genuinely good time if that is your sound.
But if you came for deep house, afro house or melodic house - the stuff that builds slowly and pulls you in instead of hitting you over the head - you land at one of these and you know within twenty minutes that it is not for you. That gap is real. We felt it for years before we did anything about it.

What It Actually Feels Like
It is slower on purpose. Doors at 3 PM, the sun still high, the music warm and rolling - afro house rhythms, melodic house that breathes, deep grooves that go somewhere instead of just dropping. You can dance hard when it climbs, and you can stand at the edge of the pool with a drink and hear the person you came with. That balance is the thing most Bangkok pool parties do not even try for.

Where This Came From
The first time we threw a proper rooftop-pool version of this - six DJs, a pool, the Bangkok skyline, back in January 2025 - people commented on the video for weeks asking when the next one was. Not "nice party." They were asking where they could find this specific thing, because they had been looking for it too.
That is the whole origin. We did not invent deep house and we did not invent pool parties. We just put them together properly, in the one lane nobody in Bangkok was serving. The Deep House Thailand × Bangkok Rooftops series at Centara Grand is that idea done at full scale, with a partner (Bangkok Rooftops) who knows how to run a roof.
So Is It Worth It Over the Big Ones?
Depends entirely on your ears.
Go if
You want deep, afro or melodic house by a pool, a crowd that came for the music, and a day you can hold a conversation through and still remember.
Skip it if
You want big-room EDM and non-stop drops. That is a genuinely good night - it is just not this one, and we would rather you have a great time somewhere else than a bored one with us.
