BYAS Takeover at APT 101: Afro House, Indie Dance, and a Sold-Out Room

Three DJs. Four genres. One packed room that did not want the music to stop.

On April 18, 2026, BYAS brought Deep House Thailand back to APT101 for a full club takeover. APT101 is one of Bangkok's venues built for this kind of night: intimate enough that the energy stays concentrated, big enough that a sold-out crowd still has room to move.

It was a showcase of how wide the DHT sound can stretch while still feeling cohesive.

BYAS headlined, pulling from his deeper, more hypnotic side while incorporating the Latin and afro house elements that defined the night's energy. Berry, a pioneer of the electronic music scene in Myanmar and DHT regular, brought percussive weight and an instinct for crowd dynamics. Ben Ocala rounded out the bill with sets that leaned into the indie dance and melodic house zones.

The APT101 takeover confirmed something that had been building across DHT's 2026 calendar: the collective's audience is ready for genre expansion. Deep house remains the foundation, but the crowd showed up for afro house, responded to Latin rhythms, and stayed through indie dance transitions without blinking.

It also showed that DHT can sell out a club night on the strength of the brand and three DJs alone. No international headliner. No massive production setup. Just the right room, the right sound, and a community that trusts the collective to deliver.
